Christmas spice mix recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cinnamon sticks or 3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1/10 of a nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon dry ginger ground
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 tablespoon allspice

Instructions

  1. Place the cinnamon sticks (cut in 2 or three), the nutmeg (a piece of the whole nut), ginger, cloves, and the allspice berries in a grinder/food processor, and pulse until well powdered.

  2. Store your precious Christmas spice mix in an airtight jar.

Recipe Notes

I use a teaspoon or two of the spice mix when baking cookies or cakes. A tablespoon on popcorns (mixed with butter or a mild extra-virgin olive oil or coconut oil) and a few pinches sprinkled on hot chocolate, cappuccino, latte macchiato, or hot tea.
