I am the author of the Simposio travel cookbook series: monographs  that explore Italian cities, seasons, and regions through food, memory, and lived culture.

I also write Italian Colors, a Sunday Letter from Rome.

My work begins with people – greengrocers, bakers, restaurateurs, friends (and their nonne).

I listen. I cook. I cross-check. Then I write.
