Knowing Your Worth.

Arachne fine art photography

Arachne was a gifted mortal weaver who dared to claim she was better than Athena, goddess of weaving and crafts. Their contest ended tragically: Arachne had exposed the darkest side of the gods—their flaws, their weaknesses, their most human traits—and had done so masterfully.

Athena punished her by transforming her into a spider, condemned to weave forever.

A reflection on talent, pride, prescribed modesty, and the uneasy line between self-celebration and arrogance.
