okinawa islands

I think it’s clear know: I love, dramatically, Japan.

I remember when we first planned to travel there. My husband asking “where can we go this year”, and me thinking while exploring the map of the world.

Then, suddenly, I knew.

The place I had been dreaming since I was 8 years old, while watching Japanese cartoons, and wondering how a place could be so different from everything I knew.

Japan.

It had always been a taboo trip, cause everybody said you needed a lot lot lot of money. But a colleague of mine had been there the year before and witnessed that it was absolutely affordable. (Well, we must say that after Euro every place seemed more convenient than before :-)).

It’s been the summer trip I have worked on the most, in my entire life.

I knew everything: places, food, culture, bon ton, prices. And it was the best vacation, really.

So I went back, for better foodtrotting Japan:

and  I promise, I will be back!
